IBM Lotus Symphony iekļautas tetsta apstrādes, prezentāciju un izklājlapu (tabulu) programmas (aplikācijas). MS Word 2003 doc formāta dolumentā visi ar MS Word izveidotie grafiskie objekti korekti bija savās vietās, tabulas savās vietās, visi formatējumi korekti saglabājušies. Tas man bija zināms pozitīvs pārsteigums, jo OpenOffice.org 2.x un 3.x versijās tajā pašā dokumentā formatējumā parādījās nelielas novirzes no oriģināla. Šķiet, ka IBM Lotus Symphony doc dokumentus atver korektāk.Ja papēta saskarni, tad te parādās daži elementi no MS Office 2007 saskarnes, daži no Corel Worperfect Office X4 saskarnes... Rīku joslu nav tik daudz kā OpenOffice.org, bet tās izvēlētas racionāli. Parādījies ir Properties Sidebar, kuras novietojumu var ērti pielāgot (Open - stacionārs vai Float - uzpeldošs). Properties Sidebar automātiski mainās atkarībā no apstrādei atlasītā objekta. Simpātiski izskatās arī izklājlapu un prezentāciju programmas, tomēr jāpiezīmē, ka izklājlapās vēl jāpagaida, kad tās būs bāzētas uz OpenOffice.org 3.x versijas, jo pagaidām ir problēmas ar MS Excel izveidotu diagrammu korektu attēlošanu.
